what about awning sizes?
Awning sizes are normally given as a ground to ground measurement,
i.e. measure from a point on the ground at the front of the
caravan directly under the foremost projection of the awning
rail (which occurs about waist height), up to this foremost
point and then up and around the awning rail, to the rearmost
point of the awning rail. Again at about waist height, and
then vertically down to the ground. This gives the awning
size required, which is normally expressed in centimetres
and rounded to the nearest 25 cms.
These are our suggestions for awning sizes however please
note:
The following sizes are given as a guide only, we accept
no responsibility for variances in these figures for individual
caravans. The advice is to check the individual caravan and
take advice from an awning specialist BEFORE
buying an awning.

We recommend that pads are used for awning poles and that
brackets are NOT screwed to the caravan sides. Nor should
press studs be screwed through the aluminium panels for the
awning skirt.
If absolutely necessary, studs can be fitted on the centre
line of the lower waist rail (The screw passing through the
plastic filler strip) but mastic must be applied behind the
entire filler strip and to the screwholes.
Blocks are fitted in the sides of the caravans to take the
weight of awning poles, the position of these is shown in
the caravan handbook.
Customers are to be reminded of our service upgrade relating
to awning rails.
**NB In some of our old
brochures etc the size of the awnings for the 1993/6 152/154
models was quoted as 825cm, this is incorrect, the size is
800cm for all 152/ 154 models.
